Open Tuesday through Sunday, this museum explores colonial history in Texas through historical buildings, artefacts and photographs. Guests have the chance to visit three historical buildings, including the Long-Smith Cottage, which is furnished to represent middle-class life in Richmond during the mid 19th century; the 1883 John M. Moore Home, which is decorated in neo-classical style; and the 1882 McFarlane House, which now houses the museum's administrative offices.
